What do I do if my Google Business Profile is suspended?

There are a few reasons why your GBP may be suspended by Google, but this isn't always made clear. Either way, it's important that we are aware of what to do if this happens to your business.

When you find that your Google Business Profile is suspended, it can be an alarming experience. While the reasons for the suspension aren't always made obvious to us, Google does have a process in place to rectify this issue:

  1. Review Google's "Guidelines for representing your business" here to ensure that your business profile adheres to their standards. The core points of reference are "Business eligibility & ownership", "Published content", and your business and promotional activities.
  2. Sign in to your Business Profile and make any necessary changes to bring your details into line with the above-mentioned guidelines.
  3. Once you're comfortable that you are all correct and compliant, you can request that Google reinstate your profile using this form.

If you have any issues with a denied request for reinstatement or to resolve issues with a reinstated profile, you can easily reply to Google directly via their email communications with you.

While we are not able to action this for you ourselves (as it is a Google process), Locafy stands ready to support you in ensuring you return being found locally as soon as possible. Please contact Support at support@locafy.com for further assistance.
