Why am I seeing an influx or spike of activity in my Google Analytics traffic?

Boosting signals can be seen as increases in local traffic.

As we focus on relevant keywords and proximity our goal is to improve the prominence of the listing so that it can be found and drive valuable leads.

Through our boosting process, we trigger signals which may result in aggressive increases in local traffic. These are variable based on the individual job, sometimes are more obvious when a site had previously been getting low traffic, or if our jobs are concentrated and appear as a spike. You should also see the traffic from a range of locations in your country.

Google doesn’t discount the location or origin of any signal, they count the signals as long as they are valid and real. Our signals are real and are counted towards your entity and they register in analytics as a validation of their authenticity.
